We are thrilled to announce that the 4th and final Kipos wine dinner as a part of the “Vineyards of Greece” seasonal series will be hosted Wednesday, November 9th at 6:30pm! Enjoy another decadent four-course meal paired with four exquisite wines that will take you on a journey through the autumn vineyards of Greece. This wine & dine feast will feature wines by Alpha Estate! ALPHA ESTATE is situated in the “AMPELIA” location (meaning vines), in the heart of the Amyndeon region, an area of VQPRD wines in the northern part of Greece and centers it’s unique offerings around respect to nature, combined with high quality and deeply eco-friendly growing practices. Reservations are $58 per guest (tax & gratuity not included). Seating is very limited for this event and reservations must be made in advance. The Menu:

First Course:

Shrimp Saganaki
An ode to the sea: plump jumbo shrimp and crumbled feta, in tomato essence

Alpha Malagousia Single Vineyard Turtles, Amyndeon (Malagousia)
Brilliantly, light yellow in color with greenish tints. Strong and lively nose, typical Malagouzia, suggesting rose petal with floral aromas and sweet spices, melon, litchi with a note of honeysuckle. Round and mellow on the palate, fat but balanced, high in alcohol with plenty of finesse. Well structured, reminding the nose aromas with a hint of rosemary. A richly textured wine with superb length and balance. A classy wine with long finish and persistent aromas.

Second Course:

Avocado Salad
Focusing on texture and savory fall flavors this medley of romaine, oven-roasted squash, red pepper, and toasted pumpkin seeds is finished with our delicious greek goddess dressing

Axia Red, Agora (Syrah, Xinomavro)
Splendid, purple red color. Complex, typical bouquet of spices (vanilla, pepper, clove), with hints of ripe blackberry. Full mouth, with vanilla aroma, rounded tannins, balanced acidity and wood tones. Long aftertaste with intense quince aroma.

Third Course:

Bone in Leg of Lamb
Rich in wood-fired flavor this slow cooked lamb is filled with kale, goat cheese, and feta cheese and is complemented by a side of briam

Alpha Estate Red “S.M.X.”, Amyndeon (Syrah, Merlot, Xinomavro)
Deep ruby color with purple hints. Powerful, pungent aromas of sweet cherry, candied plum and toasty vanillin oak. Full bodied and deep in dark fruit flavors, with a peppery and strong oak spicy accents background. The solid tannins build through the finish but there is plenty of supporting depth of fruit here, not to mention a bright acid lift on the back that adds energy. A ‘’Vin de Garde’’ with a great future.

Fourth Course:

Holiday Baklava
Hand-rolled phyllo, walnuts, topped with whole cranberries, and drizzled in lemon-orange zest syrup!

Alpha Estate Sauvignon Blanc, Amyndeon (Sauvignon Blanc)
Brilliantly, light yellow in color with greenish tints. Strong and lively nose, typical Sauvignon Blanc, suggesting gooseberry, passion fruits, melon, litchi with a note of honeysuckle. Round and mellow on the palate, quite fat balanced although, with plenty of finesse. Crispy and well structured, reminding the nose aromas with a hint of lime. A richly textured wine with superb length and balance. A classy wine with long finish and persistent aromas.
